The Autism Hub Wins Places For People Awards!
Happy Monday everyone.
How about a bit #morale for a Monday!
Many parents, many discussions, but I never doubted the intention to be alongside those who have a desire to bring more of a purpose to their lives.
Meet the guys I was asked to create a pilot scheme for, 5 young adults with #Autism to get them in 1 day of a week to give them structure, more self belief, and even qualifications.
Roll back the original plan, these guys are now in with me at least 3 days of the week, and 1 in with me 5/6 days a week.
What have they gained,
– Custoner care
– Online ecommerce
– Daily Health & Safety
– Planning and delivery of projects
– Friendships
That’s just a taster, but how many Museums around the UK can say this, these guys are instrumental and have built a foundation to even take them into paid work.
A very proud man sits with these guys daily, who also picks them up and drops them home, shares a break with them, tells them he is number 1 singer and dancer, but I’m more so proud that they confide and they are part of something they all love ❤️
Folks meet,
Dan, Andrew, Elliott, Rhys and Charlie, so much more to share about just how far these guys have come in such a short space of time.
Thank you to Wayne Cole CMIOSH from Places For People for giving up your time to present the guys with a Health & Safety in the workplace merit, the impact on the guys is amazing to see, so thank you once again for this 🙌🏻
